Towers - Usually conceived to be vertical by default. This proposal attempts to question that presumption. By stretching the form out longitudinally and manipulating the height to width ratio, the proposal deviates from the generic tower typology and instead takes on the horizontal character of overlapping boardwalks extended vertically. The resultant form hence appears to stretch out continue into its surrounding landscape. The overlapping circulation pathways and extended decks produce a labyrinthian effect with interspersed viewing platforms. This emphasizes a visitors journey through the space, punctuating it with a series of vistas across the Al Wathba wetland reserve. This strategy thus critiques the glorification of a singular view from atop a tower and instead argues for multiple views and vantage points along the entire circulation path.
